Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of Project Managers and the Engineering Team, you will assist with:
- Environmental field activities including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour sampling.
- Environmental monitoring during drilling, excavation, remediation, and construction activities.
- Supporting Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Assisting with installation, monitoring, and decommissioning of groundwater wells.
- Oversight of soil handling, segregation, and disposal at petroleum and industrial sites.
- Supporting remediation activities and coordination with contractors.
- Completing daily field notes, chain-of-custody forms, and health & safety documentation.
- Data entry and report preparation during office-based periods.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- A mix of outdoor fieldwork (60-80%) and indoor laboratory/office environments (20-40%).
- Multi-site travel with early mornings, late nights, or occasional on-call emergency response shifts.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Environmental Technician / Technology
- Environmental Science / Environmental Studies
- Engineering Technology (Civil, Environmental, or related)
- Or a related environmental discipline
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Co-op, summer, or field experience is an asset but not required

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
