Manager, Community Investment
The Manager, Community Investment, is responsible for the strategic leadership, planning, measurement and governance of WFCU’s Community Investment program across Ontario. In this role, you will have responsibility for community investment activities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, business development priorities, brand strategy and community impact goals. You will be accountable for measuring and communicating the value, reach, and impact of community investments while strengthening WFCU’s reputation and presence within the communities it serves.
The Manager, Community Investment reporting to the Director, Marketing, will:
· oversee the development and implementation of the annual strategic plan
· develop and manage key community partnerships
· provide market and consumer intelligence
· evaluate sponsorship opportunities
· maintain community investment budgets
The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· community investment strategy and planning
· community partnerships and relationship management
· sponsorship, donations and scholarship management
· business development integration
· reporting and governance
· community impact storytelling and content planning
· leadership and team management
· community representation at a variety of events, partnership meetings, etc.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
· post-secondary education or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Community Development or a related discipline
· minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in community investment, sponsorship management, stakeholder relations, marketing, communications, business development or a related field.
· demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic community engagement programs
· experience managing budgets, contracts, partnerships and performance frameworks
· strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities
· exceptional relationship building and stakeholder management skills
· strong business acumen with the ability to connect community investment initiatives to organizational objectives
· excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
· strong project management and organizational abilities
· experience evaluating sponsorship opportunities as well as measuring return on investment
· ability to interpret market and community intelligence to support strategic decision making
· proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools
· ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
· flexibility for hours of work including evenings and weekends
