Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to order, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Assist with plating dishes for service, ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and workstations
- Follow all food safety regulations and health codes to ensure a safe dining experience for guests
- Support the team during busy hours by assisting with serving customers when needed
- Restock supplies and ingredients as required to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of food industry best practices related to meal preparation and cooking
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous but not required
