Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our educational team. This role involves supporting classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and assisting lead teachers in providing high-quality early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to promoting developmental growth and learning. Prior experience in classroom settings or with children with disabilities is a plus, but we welcome applicants eager to learn and grow in the field of early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through engaging interactions
- Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety
- Support individual learning needs, including working with children with disabilities when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Foster positive behavior and encourage social skills among children
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere
- Assist with meal times, nap times, and other routine activities as directed by the lead teacher
Skills
- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmental milestones
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a valuable asset
- Basic math skills for assisting with educational activities involving numbers or counting
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of young children
- Enthusiastic about fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Pay: $17.00-$23.51 per hour
