Position Summary
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, Plant Labourers are responsible for completing assigned tasks relating to the processing and shipping of fish.
Position Information:
- Work hours are variable, generally Monday – Friday
- Seasonal from June – September
- Competitive hourly wage, $16.75 - $19.00 depending on position
Responsibilities:
- Grading, packing or weighing fish
- Labeling boxes
- Transporting filled boxes to the freezer
- Cleaning and tidying up once tasks are completed
- Following all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies
Examples of Positions
- Fillet machine operator
- Forklift operator
- Packing product
- Loading plate freezers
- Night time plant clean-up
Requirements:
- Students welcome
- No formal degree, certificate or diploma required
- Will train
- Own transportation required
