Barber Motors Collision Centre, in Weyburn SK is hiring a permanent, full time Journeyman Collision Technician/Apprentice. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders and repair procedures.
- Repair collision-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grilles.
- Assist with vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
- Replace interior vehicle components, front-end components, and underbody components.
- Repair dents using blocks, hammers, and dent removal tools.
- Grind and sand body surfaces in preparation for repair and refinishing.
- Replace and repair windshields.
- Perform basic automotive maintenance tasks as required.
- Perform detailed interior and exterior vehicle cleaning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Motor Vehicle Body Repair Trade Certificate (Journeyman) or Apprentice status (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year) considered.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong understanding of vehicle body components, frames, doors, trim, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Experience replacing interior, front-end, and underbody vehicle components.
- Dent repair experience.
- Experience grinding and sanding body surfaces.
- Previous experience replacing and repairing windshields.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, professional workspace.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and continually develop your skills.
