Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and motivated Dishwashers to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment at Dave and Lavernes Modern Diner !! This role is essential for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting a smooth food service operation.
True Hospitality is a boutique restaurant brand house. We own and/or operate four independent restaurants and is the franchisee of Shark Club Winnipeg. The four independent restaurants include Cibo Waterfront Cafe, Junction 59 Roadhouse, the James Avenue Pumphouse, Bistro 330 in La Salle and Dave and Lavernes Modern Diner !
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Keep dishwashing stations clean and organized throughout the shift
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen cleanup as needed
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are followed diligently
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes promptly during busy service times
- Maintain proper disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with health regulations
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries in the kitchen environment
Skills
- Experience in cleaning and dishwashing in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety standards
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as food preparation and cooking is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support kitchen staff effectively
- Prior experience in food service, hotel hospitality, or serving roles is advantageous
