Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic / Technician (Off and On Road Construction Equipment) - Service Truck
Level: Journeyman Preferred
Salary: $49.00 – 52.00/hr Depending on experience
Location: Edmonton AB
We are currently looking to hire 2 heavy-duty technicians for our clients Edmonton Service Shop. This position will be working on a wide variety of both off-road equipment (Dozers, Skidsteers, Loaders, rock trucks and onroad vehicles such as 5 Ton cabovers, tandem delivery trucks, triaxle flat decks, Fuel haulers, etc). This role will be operating out of a new service truck (can be taken home) and servicing area around edmonton (2-3 hours)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Inspect, Diagnose, and make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement;
· Repair the equipment in a timely and financially responsible manner;
· Work as a team, training apprentices, coordinating with other departments
· Interpret work orders and technical manuals;
· Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times;
· Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certificate. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:
· Interprovincial Red Seal is considered an asset
· Experience in repair/maintenance of heavy-duty equipment both on and off road
· Strong commitment to safety
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
