JWK Utilities & Site Services Ltd. is a commercial electrical contractor based in Carp, Ontario, specializing in underground utility installations. We are currently seeking a skilled Directional Drill Operator to join our team for a full-time, year-round position. Our work primarily takes place within the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate directional drill, backhoes, shovels, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete daily safety and equipment inspections
- Perform routine maintenance and report issues to the mechanic
- Work closely with ground crews and assist with labour tasks as required
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
- Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations on-site
Additional Equipment Experience (Asset, Not Required):
- Dump Trucks and Trailers (DZ / AZ License )
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- WHMIS certification
- CSA-approved safety footwear
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Demonstrated attention to safety and detail on the job site
