Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Loss Prevention Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding company assets, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment across our retail or corporate facilities. This position requires a strong sense of integrity, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security concerns. Prior experience in law enforcement or security is highly valued, along with proficiency in surveillance techniques and CCTV monitoring.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with store management and law enforcement agencies to investigate thefts or security incidents.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by analyzing surveillance footage and identifying patterns of theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, ensuring the safety of staff and customers.
- Maintain detailed reports of incidents, observations, and investigations for record-keeping and analysis.
- Educate staff on loss prevention policies and best practices to minimize shrinkage.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and security protocols.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations.
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating with law enforcement or management.
- Physical ability to patrol large areas and stand for extended periods.
