Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant/Floater to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Perform various office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Canadian dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- X-ray certification preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods
- Experience with Tracker or similar dental software is a plus
- Previous experience as a Dental Assisting roles is beneficial
