Project Estimator
Rushton Gas & Oil Equipment Ltd. is looking for an Estimator to join our team! We are an oilfield manufacturing company that focuses on providing skid mounted oil and gas processing equipment to the Western Canadian and International markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifying the labour and material requirements based off of drawings, specifications, and other related documents.
- Preparing cost estimations for labour, material, and other subtrade services.
- Updating a cost base database for future projects.
- Analyzing and interpreting data accurately.
- Creating written quotations for senior project management review.
- Ensuring all cost estimation documents are completed according to established deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of valving & Instrumentation.
- Communicating and coordinating with project managers, management, consultants, engineering, drafting, materials supplies and manufacturing department to ensure accurate cost estimation and cost-effective product delivery.
- Actively participate in project scheduling activities.
- Conducting self in a professional, ethical manner at all times.
- Creating and maintaining the proposal schedule, fabrication schedules & inspection.
- Improving estimating Excel based estimating templates.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering Technology, Project Management, or the equivalent combination of technical training and/or professional experience.
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ estimating experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to pressure vessels and related oilfield equipment.
- Sound knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.3, and B149.3
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- Sizing equipment, PSV’s, and control valves using computer programs.
- Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop an overall cost strategy and execution plan.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Previous experience with AutoCAD is an asset.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40.0 hours per week.
