Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC brake press machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. The CNC Brake Press Operator plays a vital role in ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in our production processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC brake press machines to form metal sheets according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine settings and tooling requirements.
- Program CNC brake press equipment using CNC programming skills to achieve desired dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC brake press machinery.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and other hand tools to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Adjust machine parameters as needed for different projects or materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, welding, or machining tasks as required.
- Assist with loading raw materials and unloading finished parts using cranes or forklifts when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC brake press machines; experience with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, milling machine is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment including press brake machines, welding tools, hand tools, and machining processes.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply measurements using calipers and other inspection tools.
- Familiarity with crane operation and forklift handling for material movement is desirable.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing issues with CNC machinery or tooling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety standards.
