Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects
- Construct wall frames, floors, ceilings, and roof structures using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning large materials
- Install siding and other exterior elements to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal
- Utilize woodworking skills for custom framing solutions and repairs
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged framing components
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction documentation
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, woodworking, concrete forming, and finishing techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with siding installation and exterior finishing work
- Knowledge of welding processes relevant to framing applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks over extended periods
