About the Role
Newton Industries Ltd. is hiring an experienced Injection Moulding Setup Technician / Moulder to join our production team in Langley, BC. If you have hands-on expertise setting up and running injection moulding machines and a passion for precision manufacturing, this role is for you.

That said, we're looking for someone who brings at least 5 years of hands-on plastic injection moulding experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to building a long-term career in the trade.
What You'll Do
- Perform full mould setups, changeovers, and machine startups on injection moulding machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve moulding defects and process issues to maintain consistent part quality
- Optimize machine parameters — cycle times, temperatures, pressures, and shot sizes — to reduce scrap and improve efficiency
- Conduct routine mould maintenance, cleaning, and care of auxiliary equipment
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams
- Maintain accurate setup sheets and process documentation
- Train and mentor junior moulding technicians and press operators
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Follow all health and safety protocols for equipment operation and safe lifting
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on plastic injection moulding setup experience
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding machine operation (process parameters, tooling, troubleshooting)
- Experience with mould changes, hot runners, and process optimization
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and setup sheets
- Proven ability to troubleshoot defects (sink marks, flash, short shots, warpage, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A genuine desire to grow, learn, and build a lasting career in the injection moulding trade
- Team player with mentoring and communication skills
