Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement within a dynamic food service setting. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. The position involves working with POS systems, including Micros POS, and adhering to food safety standards to ensure a positive experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling drinks, snacks, or light food items as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Time availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays. This job offer doesn’t suit to students
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
