Job Overview:
The Skilled Trades College is Ontario's premier construction training institution. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated HVAC Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to educating students in a classroom setting, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Ideal candidates will have a valid HVAC Certificate of Qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver STC lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Educate students on various subjects, ensuring comprehension and retention of material
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and evaluations, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behavior effectively
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices
- Stay updated on educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching techniques into the curriculum
Requirements:
- Valid HVAC Certificate of Qualification
- Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage students and foster a love for learning
- Passionate about trades
- Proficient in using educational technology and tools to enhance instruction
- A commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of education

This role is for existing and open vacancies. The incumbent will teach out of our Vaughan, ON and Oakville, ON campuses. Please note that instructors may be required to teach out of various campuses in the GTA and surrounding areas as needed based on availability and flexibility.
Hourly salary: $35.00/hour CAD
