Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, craft and serve beverages efficiently, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage service, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in restaurant or food service settings is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The successful candidate will uphold food safety standards and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction
- Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and billing using Micros POS or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations during busy hours while maintaining quality service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow all food safety regulations related to food handling and beverage service
- Assist in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures at the end of shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant or food industry settings preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a personable and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment within a hospitality setting
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; prior serving or hospitality experience is a plus
