Position: Registered Dental Technologist (RDT) - Digital Orthodontic Laboratory
Location: Concord, ON (Greater Toronto Area) - On-Site
We are seeking a Registered Dental Technologist / Technician with a passion for digital orthodontics to join our growing team as we launch an innovative dental laboratory.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of growing a digital orthodontic laboratory focused on providing treatment planning and appliance fabrication services for orthodontists, using a direct 3D-printed shape memory aligner (SMA) system. The RDT will play a key role in developing efficient workflows, producing high-quality digital orthodontic clear aligners and appliances, and supporting clinicians as they integrate this exciting technology into their practices.

Key Responsibilities
· Import, organize, and manage digital dental case and associated STL files within orthodontic CAD software, ensuring file integrity, accuracy, and compatibility with digital treatment planning and 3D printing workflows.
· Collaborate with orthodontists and dental professionals in the design and development of clear aligner treatment plans, including case review, treatment setup, tooth movement staging, case modifications, and final treatment plan approval.
· Prepare and optimize digital orthodontic models through file repair, trimming, segmentation, and model series production for clear aligner fabrication.
· Operate 3D printing workflows, including nesting, printing, post-processing, and quality assurance.
· Fabricate and finish clear aligners, passive aligners, and other select orthodontic appliances, according to approved treatment plans, case specifications, and established laboratory protocols.
· Communicate professionally with orthodontists and general dentists regarding treatment plans, case modifications, and technical questions through email, phone, and digital design platforms.
· Collaborate with the clinical and technical team to continuously improve laboratory workflows and quality standards.
· Assist in developing standard operating procedures as the laboratory grows.
· Stay current with emerging digital orthodontic technologies, software, and manufacturing techniques.
· Perform other laboratory and technical duties as required.
Qualifications
· Registered Dental Technologist (RDT) designation (required).
· Dental Technology Diploma or equivalent.
· Experience in orthodontic laboratory workflows and digital dentistry preferred.
· Experience with clear aligner treatment planning is considered a strong asset.
· Proficiency with digital orthodontic software such as 3Shape, Maestro, or comparable CAD/CAM platforms. Experience with ArchForm a very strong asset.
· Experience with 3D printing technologies and post-processing workflows preferred.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to prioritize multiple cases and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a growing team.
