Prairie Steel Products has an opening for a Journeyman Millwright in Clavet, SK (15km east of Saskatoon).
Job Summary
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair stationary industrial machinery, mechanical equipment and/or mobile heavy-duty equipment.
Overall Main Responsibilities
· Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
· Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
· Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup and repair of machinery.
· Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
· Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
· Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts/tools/fixtures required during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery.
· Perform other routine preventative maintenance on machinery
· Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation
· Work with preventative maintenance programs and keep proper maintenance records
· Carry out other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor
Experience and Technical Skills
· Blue print and schematic drawings reading a requirement
· Previous hands on work experience with PLC, troubleshooting and diagnostics an asset.
· Previous hands on experience working with Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
· Experience working on overhead cranes, hydraulics and other mobile equipment an significant asset.
Fork Lift and/or Crane Operator Licence an asset (will train)
· Attention to detail, time and priority management are necessary for success.
· Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapt to change and work under pressure
Education and Knowledge
· Four or more year’s relevant education in a related trade’s discipline.
