We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Owner in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a high level of customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and have a passion for retail, while maintaining an efficient and organized store environment. Past retail experience in footwear an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Lead by example in sales techniques, including selling strategies and product knowledge to maximize revenue.
- Manage inventory levels to keep product in stock to optimize profitability.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper merchandising of products.
- Utilize phone etiquette when communicating with customers and vendors to foster positive relationships.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer engagement.
- Proficient in cashiering processes and financial transactions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
