Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher(Level 3) to join our educational team. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love for learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, as well as experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings, are highly valued.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and well-being
- Utilize computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
- Manage classroom activities efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or in special education programs
- Lead classroom routines, activities, and transitions smoothly while maintaining discipline and positive behavior
- Document children's progress through written observations and reports
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff
- Computer operation skills for documentation and lesson planning purposes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Writing skills necessary for progress reports and documentation
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and individual needs
Pay: $17.32-$28.55 per hour
Work Location: In person
