Position Summary:
The Hardscape Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising construction crews on interlock and hardscape projects for residential, commercial, and municipal clients. This hands-on role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the company’s quality standards while maintaining productivity and controlling labour hours. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, experienced in hardscape construction, and capable of motivating and managing a crew in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a valid insurable G-class driver’s license
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in interlock, hardscape, or landscape construction
- Previous experience in a leadership or foreman role preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, site plans, and grade elevations
- Proficient in operating skid steers, mini excavators, compact equipment, plate compactors, and hand tools
- Strong knowledge of interlock installation practices, grading, excavation, drainage, and base preparation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work regularly
- Use of personal mobile device for communication, time tracking, and project coordination
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead interlock and hardscape construction crews on job sites
- Coordinate daily tasks, schedules, materials, and equipment requirements
- Oversee the installation of patios, walkways, driveways, steps, retaining walls, natural stone features, and other hardscape elements
- Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, drainage installation, and base construction
- Ensure proper compaction, elevations, and installation techniques are followed throughout each project
- Operate construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed according to company quality standards and project timelines
- Train, mentor, and support crew members to improve performance and productivity
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, suppliers, and team members
- Monitor job site safety and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Complete daily reporting, time tracking, and site documentation
- Assist with problem-solving and adapting to changing site conditions
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout project completion
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as required

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
