Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Marijuana Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on various cannabis products, and assist with sales in a professional retail environment. This role requires a strong understanding of product offerings, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for diverse customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product effects, strains, dosages, and consumption methods
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Balance register/POS at beginning and end of shift
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store remains clean and inviting
- Stock inventory
- Weigh and stock product
- Answering the phone
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing accurate information about products and store policies
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage diverse clientele effectively
- Experience with retail sales, cashiering, or hospitality environments preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word; familiarity with POS systems and computer operation required
- Basic math skills for cash handling, change calculation, and inventory management
- Organizational skills to manage filing, merchandising, and time effectively during shifts
- Leadership qualities are advantageous for guiding new team members or managing busy periods
