Overview
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide home-based and/or clinic-based services for clients between 2-18 years of age with a range of developmental disabilities.
For Vancouver - the position involves clinic-based sessions at our City Square location and travelling to client's homes within Vancouver, BC
For Richmond, the position involve travelling within Richmond, BC community to client’s homes/schools to provide services on site.
As an Occupational Therapist you will:
- Work with clients and their families to establish family centered and client centered occupational therapy goals
- Provide direct service, including but not limited to occupational therapy assessments, consultation, interventions, and education to the client, family and community providers
- Supervise support personnel, including but not limited to delegating occupational therapy intervention, monitoring progress, and providing constructive feedback
- Utilize literature to establish and support evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of community providers involved in the client’s care team
- Document delivery of occupational therapy services and client’s progress in treatment interventions as per college guidelines
- Adhere to code of conduct and ethics for working with vulnerable population
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized University
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
- One (1) year's recent, related experience working with pediatrics as an Occupational Therapist
- Professional liability insurance
- Criminal Record Check
- Valid BC Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Professional development in pediatrics and mental health an asset
- Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP) an asset
Availability
- Part-Time (2-3 days per week)
- Must be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-3:00 and 3:30pm-6:00pm
- Vancouver and Richmond residence an asset
Pay: $100.00 per hour
