We are seeking a responsible, reliable, self motivated individual with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
The ideal candidate possesses solid baking experience and an understanding of a kitchen/café environment

Key Responsibilities:
+Prepare menu items to standard in an efficient and timely manner.
+Maintain prep: food and bakery side.
+Baking - follow recipes accurately, bake properly and present finished goods neatly.
+Interact with co-workers and customers with a positive attitude/demeanour.
Daily Operations:
+Open/close the shop efficiently, ensuring the readiness for the day.
+Proactively identify tasks that require attention – stock backup, supplies added to the list, cleaning, etc. – without needing to be directed to do so.
+Troubleshoot minor issues that potentially might hamper production and effectiveness and bring to the attention of the manager.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
+Experience – minimum 2 years of scratch baking working in a commercial kitchen would be a definite benefit.
+Self motivation - ability to work independently, personal time management seeing that tasks are completed.
+Adaptability - ability to think on your feet, problem solving all while maintaining a positive approach to your job.
+Certifications: valid food handler’s certificate required (we can help with this), First Aid (not mandatory though beneficial).
Work Schedule:
Bakery/café Open
+Fall/winter session: Monday to Friday 8-7, Saturday 9-2, closed Sunday – staffed from 7-7:30 and 8-2:30 respectively. Every other Saturday may be required.
+Spring/Summer session: Monday to Friday 8-4, closed weekends – staffed from 7-4:30.
+Wage and hours will be discussed.
