Job Overview
- To provide administrative support to the Inventory Control Department
- Review and process all customer claims on a timely basis
- Communicate and follow through on inventory discrepancies
Scope
- Ensure the timely execution of cycle counts
- Manage and resolve all warehouse item discrepancies (i.e.: stray pallets, incorrect products in pick slots)
- Maintain product and location integrity ensuring accuracy and efficiency for order assembly
- Review and track all audits performed on inbound and outbound loads
- Check store returns, adjust inventory and advise operations to move stock to picking locations
- Perform inventory adjustments as required
- Investigate / communicate all receiving discrepancies
- Work with counterparts to meet departmental KPI’s
- Run all required reports based on prescribed timelines
- Advise, record, and update all products and store holds
- Communicate and coordinate any Return to Vendor shipments
- Report substandard operating practices to supervisor regarding employee’s not complying to SOP’s
- Provide leadership and training to the IC employees in addition to maintaining high personal involvement, accessibility, and visibility
- Support Manager/Supervisor and Inventory Control Department
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Experience/Education/Competencies
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in Inventory Control (preferred by not required)
- Experience in working with a Warehouse Management System (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrates continuous improvement performance and mindset
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PPP & Outlook.
- Excellent math skills (counting).
- Pro-active and strong organizational skills.
- Effective Communications skills including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, & effectively influence others.
- Ability to resolve conflict in a respectful and calm manner.
- Ability to meet individual performance goals, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Problem solving and attention to detail.
