Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team on Saturdays. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, from pediatrics to senior care, ensuring optimal visual health and patient satisfaction. Experience with electronic health records such as Epic is preferred to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and vision tests to assess patients' visual acuity and eye health.
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing corrective lenses or medical treatments as needed.
- Provide patient education on eye health, proper use of eyewear, and preventive care strategies.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication within the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care, especially in senior and pediatric populations.
- Contact lens fittings, new and refits
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient visits using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an Optometrist
- Experience working with pediatric patients and senior care populations is a plus.
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to eye health.
- Familiarity with electronic health records, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and adapt to diverse patient needs.
- A compassionate approach combined with professionalism and attention to detail.
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
