Job Overview:
We are seeking certified Canadian teachers in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or another provincial regulatory body to join our growing online English and literacy program.
This role focuses on one-on-one instruction for learners ages 4–18, with students ranging from beginner English learners to advanced academic readers and writers. Instruction should align with Canadian curriculum standards while supporting each student's individual learning goals in reading, writing, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and overall English language development.

- adapt instruction to meet the needs of students at different ages, English proficiency levels, and learning goals
This is not a casual tutoring position. We are building a long-term instructional team of certified educators who are committed to high-quality teaching, strong classroom guidance, and measurable student growth.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured one-on-one English instruction aligned with Canadian curriculum expectations
- Teach students across a range of ages (4–18) and English proficiency levels
- Support students in literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, grammar, speaking, and academic English, as appropriate for each learner
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's level and learning goals
- Use engaging instructional strategies appropriate for the student's age and proficiency, such as TPR, visuals, guided questioning, repetition, discussion, and writing activities
- Assign and review age-appropriate homework
Experience:
- Previous experience in classroom teaching.
- Strong background in English language instruction, literacy, reading, and writing.
- Experience teaching students aged 4–18 is an asset.
- Experience supporting English language learners (ELL/ESL) is preferred.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
- Active certification with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or another Canadian provincial teaching regulatory body (required).

- Flexible working hours. Able to teach between 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (at least 6 mornings per week) and 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online teaching platforms.
Pay: $700.00-$1,000.00 per week
