TrustBloom Home Care is a compassionate, family-focused home care agency supporting seniors and families across Beaumont, Leduc, and Edmonton. We are currently seeking reliable, experienced caregivers with a genuine passion for supporting seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
We are looking for caregivers who are patient, dependable, emotionally mature, and truly understand the importance of dignity, compassion, and professional care.
Responsibilities
- Companionship and emotional support
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s support
- Personal care assistance
- Meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry
- Mobility and safety supervision
- Support with daily routines and activities
- Reporting observations and changes in condition
- Accompaniment to appointments
- Medication reminders
- Outings, social activities
- Providing clear and professional shift updates
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience supporting seniors with Alzheimer’s or dementia
- HCA certification or equivalent caregiving experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle preferred
- Legal authorization to work in Canada required
- Strong English oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and professionally in clients’ homes
Additional Training (Preferred but Not Mandatory)
- Alzheimer Society training or dementia-related education
- Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA)
- Dementia care certifications or workshops
- Experience with sundowning
