Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all customers. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during peak hours
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and food safety standards
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail in food handling and cleanliness standards
- Food safe certificate is required
