Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and mobile payments
- Handle cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professional phone etiquette
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Support team members with additional tasks to promote a seamless shopping experience
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills required
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (e.g., English plus another language) are a plus
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, or upselling techniques is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and time management are essential for success in this role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
Pay: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
