What is the position?
HAZUKIDO Union Station has an exciting opportunity for lovers of baked goods and well-crafted drinks to join our team as a Cafe Associate. We are seeking passionate individuals who are looking to reach their full potential working within a high performing team setting.
What are the key tasks?
- Our Associates are responsible for multiple tasks including customer service, baker, and barista – based on our conversation and assessment of your skills and knowledge, you will be provided with tailored, on-the-job training that fits your pace during the first two weeks to learn your craft.
- Master Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prepare baked goods and drinks accurately and in a timely manner and to serve and sell with passion and professionalism
- Package baked items efficiently for display or take-out orders while maintaining presentation quality.
- Prepare beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks as per customer orders, delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in food production tasks including mixing, portioning, and cooking ingredients as needed.
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices and ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety standards.
- Support catering or special event setups when required, contributing to the overall guest experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Bring a smile to each customer and treat colleagues the same way
- Operate the cash register
- Contribute to the overall success of the bakery and the franchise by completing required and recommended training, coaching, etc.

Requirements
- Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or food preparation is preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus.
- Skills in packaging baked goods attractively for retail or catering purposes.
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Customer service experience in a restaurant or café setting is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with baking equipment are advantageous.
