Ontario International High School is seeking an organized and technology-savvy professional to join our team as a Part-Time Education and Technology Assistant.
Reporting to the school’s Vice Principal, the successful candidate will support daily educational administration, learning management systems, technology operations, and website updates.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys managing a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic secondary school environment.
ResponsibilitiesEducational Administration
- Assist with daily school administration, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Support administrative processes related to Ontario Ministry of Education requirements and compliance.
- Help maintain accurate student records, electronic files, and internal databases.
- Assist with preparing forms, reports, schedules, and other school documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the Vice Principal and education team.
Learning Management and Technology Support
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of the school’s Moodle learning management system.
- Create and update user accounts, course pages, permissions, and learning resources.
- Provide basic technical support to staff, teachers, and students.
- Troubleshoot routine software, account access, device, and hardware issues.
- Document recurring technical issues and escalate more complex matters when necessary.
Website Support
- Update and maintain school website content.
- Support the posting of approved school announcements and digital information.
- Ensure published information is accurate, professional, and aligned with school guidelines.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Education, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience working in an Ontario secondary school environment.
- Knowledge of Ontario secondary school education and related administrative processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience using Moodle or another learning management system.
- Experience updating or maintaining website content.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience managing social media platforms is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of databases, automation tools, reporting systems, or scripting is considered an asset.
Employment Details
- Job type: Part-time.
- Up to 20 hours per week.
- Hybrid work arrangement.
- Two days per week at the school’s Toronto office.
- Remaining hours may be completed remotely, depending on operational needs.
- Compensation: $17.60 to $19.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
- Expected start date: July 20, 2026.
