The Good Life Property Co. is a growing Ontario-based property management company seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our expanding team.
Our vertically integrated business model combines real estate acquisitions, development, asset management, and property management. Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining our residential communities to a high standard while providing exceptional customer service to our residents.
This position requires a motivated individual who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond professionally to both routine maintenance requests and emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to resident service requests in a professional and timely manner.
· Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining company service standards.
· Communicate with residents regarding maintenance schedules and repair updates.
· Perform preventative maintenance throughout assigned properties.
· Complete suite turnovers, including move-in and move-out repairs.
· Conduct pre-move-out and in-suite inspections.
· Perform minor plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry and general repairs.
· Replace locks, filters, smoke and CO detectors as required.
· Assist with suite showings and leasing support when needed.
· Coordinate and follow up with contractors working on-site.
· Identify maintenance concerns and recommend preventative solutions.
· Maintain accurate maintenance records using company software.
· Participate in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends and emergency maintenance.
· Represent The Good Life Property Co. professionally while delivering excellent resident service.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum 1 year of residential property maintenance experience (2+ years preferred).
· Experience in residential property management is considered an asset.
· Strong maintenance and repair skills, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and carpentry.
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
· High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
· Basic computer skills; experience with Smartsheet and Yardi is an asset.
· Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with reliable transportation.
· Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends.
· Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow with a rapidly expanding company.
