Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Boring Mill Machinist with minimum 5-10 years experience that is specialized in TOS W100 HORIZONTAL Manual Machines to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency in MANUAL MACHINING, and experience with precision machining. This role involves operating manual boring mills to produce high-quality components according to detailed specifications and blueprints. Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate TOS W100 HORIZONTAL manual boring mills with precision and adherence to engineering drawings and blueprints
- Set up and calibrate machines using tools such as calipers, hand tools, and power tools
- Perform MANUAL adjustments
- Read and interpret technical blueprints
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters
- Use measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Assist in assembly processes as needed and operate forklifts/overhead crane for material handling
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating TOS 100W HORIZONTAL manual boring mills or similar machinery in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with understanding of operating a manual boring mill and machining principles
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for machining tasks
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and safety standards in manufacturing environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is advantageous
