This is a 12 month contract located in Toronto, ON/ Hybrid (3 days/ week)
Typical Day in Role:
Craft & Design Excellence
- Design and deliver high quality, end-to-end UX solutions across complex products, features, and journeys on client’s.
- Apply user centered design principles to balance client needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and design artifacts that clearly communicate experience intent, design rationale, and tradeoffs.
- Advocate for usability, accessibility (WCAG), and inclusive design standards, ensuring experiences are intuitive, trustworthy, and compliant.
- Demonstrate curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, exploring how they can augment (not replace) human-centered design while considering trust, ethics, and transparency in a regulated environment.
- Ownership & Influence
- Own the solution to complex, ambiguous design problems at the product or journey level. Work closely with commerce, marketing, and business partners to drive an optimal client experience.
- Identify, reframe, and prioritize design opportunities that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes.
- Manage timelines and dependencies, anticipating risks, and escalating early to keep work moving.
- Be accountable for understanding how the products and services you support work, including business objectives, metrics, and constraints. Present compelling design stories that connect user needs and business objectives.
- Represent and advocate for design craft within the organization and contribute to strengthening the design community of practice.Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience designing for responsive web and native mobile platforms
- Expertise in Figma for digital design and prototyping
- Experience with Design Systems such as design guidelines, brand guidelines and balancing flexibility and contributing to their evolution
- Solid understanding of Human-Centered Design practices, including Design Thinking methodologies, research, and user testing

Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience creating wire frames for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) pages.
- High technical acuity, understanding front-end technologies, and knowing when to push design boundaries.
- Previous experience within FI

Education:
- Post-secondary education in interaction design or a related field
Candidate review and selection:
2 rounds
1st Design team – 45 min – MS Team Video – technical design/ portfolio review
2nd – HM – 45 mins – MS Teams Video – Situational questions + assess interest in role and cultural fit.
Pay: $55.00-$68.00 per hour
