Job Summary
Our Delta, BC location of Zodiac Hurricane Technologies has an immediate opening for Boat Assemblers in our Production Department. These positions are permanent, full-time working Monday through Friday starting at 6am with opportunities for overtime.
We are seeking individuals with a positive mindset and an attention to detail to join our team. This role is best suited for candidates with prior assembly or mechanical experience. Candidates must be willing to work hard in a fast-paced team environment and under pressure to meet deadlines with the ability to lift a minimum of 25 kgs. Electrical, gas, plumbing or carpentry experience is an asset, but not a requirement. Hand tools and safety footwear are required.
This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, construction, or manufacturing environments, training will be provided. Tasks include assembly of various components by hand to complete a product that meets ISO 9001 quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble boat components accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks
- Drill and work with materials such as aluminum, fiberglass, and similar
- Assemble large or heavy components as part of the production process
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to meet daily production and quality targets
- Ensure all assemblies meet workmanship standards and ISO 9001 quality requirements
- Follow direction from supervisors and team leads while working both independently and collaboratively with team members and engineers
- Adhere to company safety policies and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Complete required paperwork and documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to learn quickly
- Capable of problem solving and decision making
- Proven hands-on experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions with minimal supervision
- Experience assembling and building products in a manufacturing or construction environment is an asset
- Experience working with fiberglass or in marine/heavy-duty industries is a strong asset
- Electrical, gas, carpentry, or plumbing experience is an asset, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 25 kgs (55 lbs) regularly
- Steel toe work boots are required
- Must own a basic set of hand tools; additional tools may be required based on role
