Donor Services Assistant
Full-Time Contract (September 2026 – January 2027)

Indspire is seeking a temporary Donor Services Assistant to support the Development team during our peak fundraising season. This role provides administrative and donor services support to ensure gifts are processed accurately and donors receive timely and meaningful stewardship in a fast-paced fundraising environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be:
Picking up, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, with priority placed on processing donations and donor correspondence.- Assisting with gift batching, data entry, and updating donor records within Raiser's Edge.
- Processing returned mail and updating donor contact information in accordance with database business rules.
- Supporting the preparation and mailing of donor acknowledgement letters, tax receipts, and stewardship materials.
- Assisting with the fulfillment and distribution of donor premiums and other stewardship items.
- Completing thank-you calls and follow-up calls related to expired or declined credit cards using approved scripts and processes.
- Assisting with donor record maintenance, including updating contact and biographical information.
- Supporting donor services activities related to fundraising campaigns, appeals, and stewardship initiatives as required.
- Providing administrative support to the Donor Services and Stewardship teams, including filing, data management, and other related duties.
- Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in a related field.- Minimum one year of administrative, customer service, donor services, or data entry experience.
- Minimum one year of experience using Raiser's Edge or another fundraising database/CRM. Experience using Raiser's Edge is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and donor-centred approach.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of and experience with Indigenous communities considered an asset, along with openness to engaging in cultural competency training.
- Ability to communicate in French considered an asset
