Job We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to support our salvage yard operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive, heavy equipment operation, and inventory management. This role involves assisting with shipping and receiving, order picking, and managing warehouse systems to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. The Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and supporting daily logistics activities within a fast-paced environment.
Your role will require a large knowledge of car parts and how to remove them from vehicles.
Duties
- Perform order picking accurately to fulfill customer or internal requests
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including loading and unloading goods using heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Support shipping and receiving operations
- Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment and techniques for heavy lifting
- Maintain safety protocols during heavy equipment operation and general warehouse activities
- Assist with construction or maintenance tasks as needed within the warehouse environment
Experience
- Mechanical Experience - must be able to remove parts from vehicles without damage
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, heavy equipment operation (forklifts), and construction-related tasks is preferred
