We are currently seeking an energetic, team-oriented individual looking for career growth and development to join our fast-paced Fabrication Project Management Group in our Castlegar, BC office.
This position of Fabrication Coordinator reports to the Fabrication Manager and provides coordination and administrative support for assigned fabrication projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Bid & Documentation
- Review bids to ensure submission requirements are met
- Organize and maintain project documentation
- Prepare procedures and project documents to meet client requirements
- Coordinate required safety documentation with safety personnel
Project Coordination
- Assist with drawing reviews
- Create Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Assist with project scheduling
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and site requirements
- Support the Project Coordinator and Fabrication Manager
Procurement & Logistics
- Source materials and obtain vendor pricing
- Issue purchase orders
- Order, receive, count, and track materials
- Coordinate shipping of materials and finished products to project sites
Communication
- Communicate project action items with office and shop staff
- Coordinate with subcontractors
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and engineers
- Represent the company in a professional manner
Travel
- Occasional out-of-town travel may be required
Qualifications, Competencies & Abilities
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedures, drawings, and contract documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prepare reports, procedures, and project correspondence
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract

- Based at our 1700 Woodland Drive, Castlegar, BC facility
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (40 hours per week)
