The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: Cancer Research Program
The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies. The incumbent will collaborate with investigators and health studies. The incumbent will collaborate with investigators and health care teams to assume responsibility for the coordination of the studies for the Meterissian Lab.
General Duties
- Assists in the planning and organization of research projects,
- Recruits patients for research studies,
- Obtains consent from patients for participation in research studies,
- Interviews patients,
- Completes patient questionnaires,
- Performs data entry,
- Ensures follow-up of patient information,
- Reviews patient charts,
- Educates staff about on-going research projects,
- Accomplishes any other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.

Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Biomedical sciences or related.
Work Experience: Two (2) years of research related experience.
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of oral French is required.
- An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
- Autonomous, flexible, sense of ethics and good judgment,
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritizing time sensitive issues,

- Decision making: While the investigator is the main responsible for his/her study, the incumbent must ensure protocol compliance including participant eligibility.
- Clinical research experience is an asset.
Additional information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Work Site: Glen Site, 1001 Decarie Blvd.
