Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home support to clients in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others, especially seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. The Home Care Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care and support within their homes. Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or working with individuals with dementia is highly valued.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support patients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with medical appointments and coordinate care plans with healthcare professionals
- Follow safety protocols to prevent falls or injuries and ensure client safety at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those suffering from dementia or other chronic conditions is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care procedures, medication administration, and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
- Strong communication skills and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with clients
- Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs
