We are currently recruiting a Permanent Full Time motivated and patient-oriented Diagnostic Imaging - Call Centre Representative/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to handle inbound calls for patient appointments and assist with patient inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to analyze patient needs to provide accurate appointment bookings.
Responsibilities
- Performs various booking functions and ensures physician requirements and patient needs are met in an efficient manner
- Manages large numbers of inbound calls
- Ensures all calls are answered promptly, consistently exercising utmost diplomacy and tact, to ensure exceptional service to both patients and physicians
- Provide accurate information about procedures and preparation requirements while ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while communicating with patients
- Listens effectively to patients' needs and provides exceptional patient care at all times
- Completes data entry for patient's demographics and appointment information
- Ability to be empathetic and friendly with all types of patients
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures
- Undertakes other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Hours: Wednesday to Friday, 8am-4pm, Saturday & Sunday, 7am -3pm.
- Medical Office Assistant diploma including completion of a medical terminology course is a strong asset
- Previous call centre experience, along with booking diagnostic imaging appointments would be an asset
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to give clear instructions and ask probing questions in a caring manner
- Logical, analytical and critical thinking required
- Patient focused and adaptability to different personality types
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills
- A positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- This position is based in a call centre environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting and front-line patient interaction over the phone
