Now hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician with strong engine rebuild and overhaul experience. This is a full-time, stable opportunity in Calgary working on heavy equipment with a focus on diesel engine rebuilds and component-level repairs.
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician who is confident performing complete diesel engine overhauls and rebuilds, along with diagnostics and repairs on excavators, loaders, and related heavy-duty equipment.
- Earn $40–$50/hr depending on experience
- Overtime paid after 44 hours/week

- Overhaul and rebuild diesel engines (mandatory requirement)
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, and trucks
- Perform full engine tear-downs, inspections, and reassembly to OEM specifications
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Use OEM diagnostic software and electronic tools to identify and resolve faults
- Complete precision measurements and ensure proper engine performance after rebuild
- Maintain accurate service records in computer systems
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment experience
- Must be able to overhaul and rebuild diesel engines independently
- Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Experience with excavators, loaders, and heavy-duty equipment
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver’s license required
