Warehouse Lead Hand – Afternoon Shift

Shift: Afternoon - 3:30 pm to 12 am

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead Hand to join our client's operations team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside the warehouse team while providing daily direction, coaching, and support to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities- Warehouse Operations
- Perform daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, staging, and order fulfillment.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Manage material flow from receiving through customer shipment while ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Complete cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Process inventory transactions using Oracle and RF scanners.
- Handle returns, RMAs, and non-conformance reports (NCMR).
- Coordinate scrap inventory disposal according to company procedures.
Team Leadership
- Coordinate daily work assignments and manpower while remaining actively involved in warehouse operations.
- Provide day-to-day coaching, guidance, and support to warehouse associates.
- Lead shift meetings focused on safety, quality, productivity, and daily priorities.
- Promote accountability for productivity, quality, and workplace safety.
- Serve as the first point of contact for operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Work closely with internal departments and other distribution locations to resolve material and shipping issues.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Lead by example by promoting a strong safety culture.
- Conduct and support equipment inspections, including forklifts, racks, ladders, and other warehouse equipment.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate required maintenance.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency, and workflow.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, including training, mentoring, or supervising warehouse employees.
- Valid forklift certification with at least 5 years of forklift operating experience.
- Minimum 3 years of RF scanner experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
Preferred
- College diploma.
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environment.
- Experience using Oracle or similar Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour
