Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in landscape construction, gardening, and maintenance, supporting the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills in landscape and construction projects.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
- Operate equipment such as excavators and power tools to perform construction and landscaping projects
- Install irrigation systems and perform repairs as needed
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, and other gardening activities
- Maintain and repair landscape features, ensuring safety and aesthetic standards are met
- Support with site preparation, grading, and soil conditioning
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow safety protocols during all activities to prevent accidents and injuries
Qualifications
- Prior experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating excavators and power tools is a plus
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems, construction practices, and general maintenance tasks is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping or construction projects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for equipment operation or site travel
