Job Description: Warehouse Lead
Overview
The Warehouse Lead is an active, hands-on member of the warehouse team responsible for leading and participating in daily warehouse operations. Working closely with the Internal Operations Coordinator (IOC) and Truck/Warehouse Associate, this role ensures materials are received, stored, prepared, and processed accurately and efficiently.
The Warehouse Lead takes ownership of daily warehouse priorities, keeps work moving, and actively participates in the work required to get it done.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and actively participate in daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, staging, and shipping materials.
· Set daily warehouse priorities and coordinate workload with the IOC and Truck/Warehouse Associate.
· Ensure customer, project, transfer, and delivery orders are prepared accurately and on time.
· Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, product placement, documentation, counts, and investigation of discrepancies.
· Support the resale program through inventory processing, tagging, photos, and order fulfillment.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
· Identify and resolve day-to-day warehouse issues and escalate larger operational concerns when required.
· Work with Sales, Project Management, Capital Installation, Dantra, and other departments to support material and order requirements.
· Ensure warehouse procedures and safety expectations are consistently followed.
· Monitor warehouse equipment and report maintenance or operational issues as required.
· Help improve warehouse processes, organization, accuracy, and overall workflow.
Qualifications
· Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or material-handling experience.
· Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead daily work while remaining hands-on.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritize multiple orders and requests in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is an asset.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a small operational team.
Pay: $23.50 per hour
