RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create a welcoming, caring environment for the children and their families
· Maintain a safe environment for the children during the program
· Implement program plans as prepared by the Program Coordinator
· Maintain professional relationships with staff, volunteers, parents and children
· Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills with your team and professionals
· Ensure that all equipment is functional and in safe working condition
· Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings
· Maintain and uphold the Mission Statement and Core Values
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 1 year child related experience
· Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to acquire)
· Current Vulnerable Sector Screening Criminal Record Check (within 6 months)
· High Five Certified: “Principles of Healthy Child Development” (or willingness to acquire)
· Strong supervision, facilitation, leadership, decision making and problem-solving skills

· Food Handler’s Certification

COMPENSATION
· Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am-9:30am & 3:30pm-5:30pm
· Some opportunity for more hours in the evenings until 7:30pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
