General Labourers - Plant Operator in Training
To work at our Suncor Baseplant Project in the Fort McMurray, AB area
SALARY: Cord offers a comprehensive overall compensation package based on experience and location of work
TRAVEL: Candidates must be local to the Fort McMurray area
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: 14 days on, 14 days off
HOURS PER DAY: 12 hours per day
PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
SHIFT: Dayshift or Nightshift (Night shifts will also be required on a rotational basis)
ACCOMODATIONS: Candidates must be local to the Fort McMurray area
WORK SCOPE: Brownfield
Requirements:
- 6+ months of industrial construction experience
- 3 Year clean drivers abstract required
- Ability to work with others to achieve goals
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance
- Valid CSTS 2020 version
Responsibilities:
· Complete all required safety documentation
· Diagnoses operating problems; directs and performs necessary corrective action during work shift under supervision
· Safety Monitoring - For activities including, but not limited to blinding, blanking, valve removal piping, etc.
· Working at heights and outdoors
· Driving a company vehicle
· Reads gauges and meters, starts and stops equipment, and operates valves to route and control flow, makes process control adjustments, determines and sets proper chemical dosage and flow rates, and operates PLCs and SCADA systems
· Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses on industrial discharges, plant influent, process, effluent and biosolids
· Makes entries in plant logs
· May perform other related duties as assigned
· Read and interpret approval documents
